Lokout charges a flat £25 dispatch fee to confirm your booking and coordinate a local locksmith. The rest is paid directly to the locksmith on completion. Total costs typically range from £105-£135 for weekday daytime, £130-£165 for evenings and weekends, and £165-£210+ for overnight hours. If we cannot find an available locksmith within 45 minutes, your £25 dispatch fee is fully refunded.

We coordinate a local locksmith immediately after you book. Response times vary based on location, time of day, and availability. Most customers report arrival within 30-60 minutes, though this can vary. You'll receive a call with an estimated arrival time.

Yes. You pay £25 to Lokout upfront for coordinating the dispatch. The rest of the balance is paid directly to the locksmith when they complete the work. Most locksmiths accept cash, card, and bank transfer.

Once you pay the £25 dispatch fee, we immediately contact trusted locksmiths in your area. You'll receive a call from our team and then from the locksmith with their estimated arrival time. The locksmith will arrive at your location and help you gain access.

What if no locksmith is available?

Accepted Answer

If we cannot secure a locksmith for you within 45 minutes of your booking, we will issue a full refund of your £25 dispatch fee. This rarely happens, as we work with a large network across the UK.

Is the £25 dispatch fee refundable?

The £25 fee is refunded if we cannot find an available locksmith within 45 minutes. If you need to cancel after booking but before the locksmith is dispatched, contact us immediately at help@lokout.co.uk and we may be able to process a refund.
